Bill of Rights Story: New Beginning

Once there was city called Hamilton city; Hamilton city was the best in the world they were clean, they didn’t have that much pollution, and everyone in that city had very well/high reputations. They all had jobs; they all had high paying careers, people in the communities would always get along, and it was very rare that people would ever commit any crimes, or break the law.
Above all, the family that seemed the greatest was the Millers. They were very wealthy they had two children and the father was the mayor of the city. He was the peace maker, the person who kept things running, and he was also responsible for Hamilton city’s high reputation. But there are things about the Mr. and Mrs. miller that nobody knew about, they had very religious beliefs and would not let their children visit the doctor or receive medical help if they their child needed it. Their children have never had anything severe before maybe a couple of colds here and there but over all they were in healthy conditions if they were to get sick then the only things the parents would do is pray.
One late May the Millers had a sick child, Alexis their first child who was 7 years of age at the time had a common cold. Mr. and Mrs. Miller told Alexis to stay at home and rest like all the other times she was sick; so Alexis did as she was told. She got up in bed and rested.
Towards the middle of the day the neighbor next door started to hear loud moans from the Miller’s house so they went to see who it was when they arrived they were shocked by the site of Alexis in bed covered up in a pile of blankets.
“Oh dear, Alexis? Are you okay honey?”
But she was speechless her lips were dry and her eyes had a blank look in them so quickly the neighbors called the Mr. and Mrs. miller to come home when Mr. and Mrs. Miller arrived they let their neighbors in and immediately started to care for Alexis.
Oh sorry my darling, are you alright? Mr. and Mrs. Miller exclaimed.
“Yeah,” Alexis said in a weak voice
“You know,” said the neighbors “you should really take her to the doctors; she might spike a fever and get a seizer.”
“Oh no, only god can help her” said Mr. and Mrs. Miller
“But the doctors can help they have medicine.” The neighbors said
We don’t believe in seeking medical attention we believe in god’s powers only. All we can do is pray for the best. Mr. and Mr. Miller said in a calm voice
“We are going to report you to the police; you people are crazy and should have your kids taken away. This is just outrageous.” And the neighbors stormed out the door.
That evening the Millers had police officers knocking at their door.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Miller we had someone who earlier reported that you have a sick child and that you are refusing to bring them to the hospital for medical attention. Is this true of false?"
"This is true and it is also our religion we live in a country of freedom of speech and you should not be interfering with our beliefs."
"We are here because you are possibly breaking a law and neglecting your child your child could die because of your religion and we do not know if you will still be protected under the first amendment. For now we will take your children and care for them. When you have gone through a proper trial and the judge proves that you are protected under the first amendment then we will return your children."
"No you can’t do this!!!!!!!!!!"
"Yes we can, you must take this business to the Supreme Court."
And then the police left the house with the Miller's two children. After this Alexis was immediately rushed to the hospital by the police officers
"Just hang on sweetie we'll get you to the hospital"
"Ok (I think 'Okay')" Alexis said to sound better.
Then as soon as they got there the police went in the hospital to request for help while leaving the two children behind in the car.
"Hang on sis" said Alexis’s younger brother Michael they are coming back for you you’ll be ok.('Okay')
By this time, Alexis just was not talking any more she was just sitting there then the worst started to happen <(Should there be a period, or a comma here?) Alexis started to shake uncontrollably.
"Ahh help" Alexis’s 4 year old brother started to cry
Just in time the nurses from the hospital rushed out and took her straight into emergency.
Alex was in very critical conditions throughout the day she laid in her hospital bed her parents were even allowed to visited (visit) her once but they didn’t want her in that hospital bed they wanted god and only god to help her no matter how much they prayed for her this was a fever she/they would never forget Alexis’s fever caused her Permanente <(permanent) brain damage for the rest of her life.

When Mr. and Mrs. Miller fled the hospital they were surrounded by the press there where bright lights flickering and people trampling over one another just to get a quick photo. But finally the millers got to their car and the rushed home as fast as they could.
"Oh please god what do we do now?" Mrs. Miller said in a crazed voice
"Calm down honey everything’s is going to be alright."
"But they are depriving us of our rights!!"
"Yes I know that but there is nothing we can do about it now all we need to do is go on trial so the judge can prove our innocence." (Maybe in these last few quotations, you should say who's talking, Mr. or Mrs. Miller)
By this time the press was standing right outside on their lawn screaming, taking pictures and causing a ruckus
Mrs. Miller was so irked by this that she slammed open the door and screamed
"Get away from my house leave me and my family alone."
They didn’t even budge all they did was snap more pictures and capture more videos of her.
"I’ll call the cops" she said in a serious voice.
Then some of them started to leave.
"That’s right" she said.
"Get the heck off of my lawn."
When Mrs. Miller closed the door she started to break down.
“Oh no, why is this happening to us? What have we done?"
"That’s <(Maybe this should be 'It's') ok we’ll get things sort out and we’ll have peace as soon as we get that trial but for now, let’s take a rest no matter how hard we try they still won’t listen."
The next morning Mr. and Mrs. Miller woke up to a bright sunny morning Mr. Miller got the coffee starting and Mrs. Miller got dressed.
"Oh dear!!" Mr. Miller exclaimed we’re in the paper
"What?! Let me see." Mrs. Miller said in a shocked voice
But what they saw was true the media had gotten their pictures on the morning paper with their faces all over it.
"All right are you ready honey? Lets go out to find a lawyer; this is spiraling out of control."
So all that day they searched for a lawyer they were only 4 major lawyers in this city but all of them would not accept their case they were to biased and outraged that their own mayor had possibly broken a law so the millers began to seek help from other states within the U.S and got a lot of lawyers that accepted their case but a few had agreed to come to Hamilton city finally they narrowed it down to a lawyer from California they were good and top notched they were perfect!!
About a week later they arrived at Hamilton city and the millers came to pick them up at the airport
"Hello we’re the Millers. Mr and Mrs Miller" (they) said in a welcoming voice, "nice to meet you!"
"Oh, hi, I'm Rebecca nice to meet you !!" she said in a spirited voice
"Lets go somewhere we can talk so we can sort this all out." (who is saying this?)
So the millers took Rebecca home with them as soon as they got home they started to talk finding out everything they could about their case and if they would possibly win.
"Yes these are your rights" she said, you shouldn’t (Did you not finish?)
